Recipes
I have always enjoyed cooking. Even when I was a young girl I often cooked for my family. I am the oldest of five so that made seven of us counting my parents.
Now it is only my husband and I but I still enjoy it as much or even more. I am blessed to have a husband who enjoys and appreciates whatever I make.
My mother instilled a love of trying new recipes in me. So, I am always looking for something interesting.
I am also interested in healthy eating based on the Bible.
My recipes are made with wholesome ingredients—organic as much as possible.
I mill organic grain for my bread and bake goods. I use organic cane or coconut sugar and veggies from my garden when available.
I rarely use store bought canned goods unless organic. I soak and cook organic legumes from dry. It is more time consuming but better for us.
Most grains and legumes unless organic are sprayed before harvest to desiccate them to make it easier for the farmer, but that isn’t good for our health.
I plan to post recipes on-going so check back often for new ones.
